We are pleased to announce that a reunion will take place featuring Graham Carr’s 1986/87 title winning side.
The reunion of the squad - which strolled to 99 points in the Fourth Division - will be held at the Park Inn on Saturday May 13, 2017.
The event is being organised by Northampton Town Supporters' Trust and club historian Frank Grande. It is kindly being sponsored by Lane Wealth Management.
Frank has been in touch with the players, management team and directors from that memorable season - and we can confirm that the following players have agreed to attend:
Peter Gleasure, Graham ‘Rambo’ Reed, Phil Chard, Warren Donald, Bob Coy, Keith McPherson, Eddie McGoldrick, Dave Gilbert, Ian Benjamin, Richard Hill, Aidy Mann, Russ Wilcox, Irving Gerno.
Trevor Morley, the team’s captain, is coming over from Norway.
The management team of Graham Carr, Clive Walker and Denis Casey will be present along with former Chairman Derek Banks and other former directors.
Following the very successful ‘Season in the Sun’ reunion of the 1966/67 First Division side last year, we are expecting this event to sell out.
Tickets cost £20, which includes a buffet, will be on sale soon. So if you’re stuck for something to buy a Cobblers fan for Christmas, why not get them a couple of tickets?
