Sixfields infrastructure survey has gone out to all Cobblers fans

·         A Sixfields infrastructure survey – requesting suggestions as to what improvement to facilities at Sixfields are necessary, desirable and realistic – has now gone out to all Cobblers fans. The survey consists of 20 questions around aspects of Sixfields stadium with multiple choice answers around all things infrastructure. The deadline for survey submissions is Wednesday 15 May and we will be presenting the findings during the summer.

Sixfields stand and land deal

·         Northampton Town FC announced that the deal with West Northamptonshire Council, in respect of purchasing the freehold of land around Sixfields, had finally been signed off on 4 April. Chairman Kelvin Thomas has re-assured Cobblers fans that the purchase would yield development to benefit the football club and complete the East Stand.

 

Jersey-based financier buys into Northampton Town Ventures Ltd

·         Jersey-based financier Nigel Le Quesne has acquired a 25 per cent stake in the football club’s holding company Northampton Town Ventures Ltd, in which club owner David Bower is the controlling shareholder. No information about the deal reached with Mr Le Quesne was contained in the club’s statement or what this entails for the club and the sale and development of the adjoining land.

 

Supporters Trust liaison on Football Governance Bill

·         The Trust is liaising with other Supporters Trusts across the country to discuss the proposed Football Governance Bill and the role of the Trust within it.

 

Abolition of FA Cup replays from the first round proper?

·         The Trust has issued a statement expressing its deep disappointment at FA and Premier League plans to abolish FA Cup replays from the first round.
