Trust news update: February 2019

13th Feb 2019

* NTFC Community Trustee

NTFC Supporters Trust no longer has a trustee represenative on the NTFC Community board.

This is something we are looking to address as a matter of urgency, given that there has always been a strong link between the Trust and the football club's community programme

* Asset Of Community Value for Sixfields (ACV)

The Trust met with the Borough Council this week to seek answers as to why the old athletics track land behind the east stand at Sixfields - orginally included in our ACV application - is now being excluded.

A follow-up meeting has been arranged with the council within a couple of weeks, at which we expect the council to finalise the application one way or another.

At present, the Sixfields stadium and the land including the west stand car park has been approved for listing,

* Trust website

The Trust's website is being given a refresh - please give us constructive feedback by emailing ntfc_trust@outlook.com.

If you have any old Cobblers photos you are happy to share with other fans via the website, please send them to the above address.

* Membership update

The Trust's membership currently stands at 765 - of that number, we have email addresses on file for 303 members.

We are aware that some of these addresses may be out of date - of those in date, many still require GDPR ratification.

There are presently 117 members who have given us permission to contact them by email.

We would ask members to email us at ntfc_trust@outlook.com and give us permission for us to use that address for correspondence.

* Community ownership model for Northampton Town FC

As you may already have learned, the Trust now has a date for the public meeting to discuss a potential community ownership model for the Cobblers.

The meeting will take place - from 1pm to 4pm - at the Park Inn by Radisson hotel, Silver Street, Northampton town centre on Sunday 10 March.

Please book this date in your diary to learn more about our proposal to find a new way forward for our football club.

Following the public meeting, a proposal will be put to the Trust membership to vote on at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) later this year.

The Trust is building its monthly fundraiser Club 500 - for £5 a month, you have the chance of winning some handsome monthly cash prizes and the more that are in the Club 500 draw the more you win! To sign up, please contact organiser Roger Averill at rogeraverill1952@gmail.com
