Trust news update: August 2019

25th Aug 2019

Sixfields seating

We have become concerned about a number of seats that have been removed within Sixfields stadium and believe this may be presenting a health and safety risk. We are raising this with the stadium manager Steve Inwood so that it can be reported to the Safety Advisory Group.

Bury and Bolton Wanderers

The Trust has sent messages of support to representative supporter bodies at Bury and Bolton, with both clubs in financial difficulties and threatened with expulsion from the EFL. We hope that both Lancashire clubs can overcome their problems and continue their membership as League One clubs.

Community Ownership

We are working towards a proposal for a future community ownership model at Northampton Town and Trust representatives have been speaking to community-owned clubs Exeter City and AFC Wimbledon as part of this work, also to football finances expert Nick Igoe at the Football Supporters Association.

Match sponsorship – Exeter City

The Trust has agreed to sponsor the Cobblers home League Two fixture against community-owned Exeter City, presently top of the division, in February. There will be a draw for Trust members interested in hospitality for this fixture – more details to follow on our website and social media platforms shortly.

Trust website

The Trust's new website will be online shortly - if you have any old Cobblers photos you are happy to share with other fans via the website, please send them to ntfc_trust@outlook.com
