Northampton Town Supporters Trust is delighted to hear that seating will soon be back in the East Stand.
The stand has been the lone eyesore in a year of eye-catching football on the pitch, and it is great news for everyone associated with the club that plans to develop it are back on track.
The news that the final game of the season against Luton had already sold out was further proof that the appetite is there to get more fans in at Sixfields, especially while the team is playing such fantastic football.
From our meetings with Kelvin Thomas we know he was actively exploring ways in which seats could be put in, even if temporarily.
So we are naturally very happy that 1,924 seats are expected to be in place in time for April and the last few home games of the season.
We look forward to further meetings with Kelvin to find out in more detail what the plans are for the whole redevelopment of the East Stand moving forward.
It is also important to acknowledge the patience of fans that were moved away from the East Stand almost two years ago, and we hope they are looking forward to moving back in to their favoured stand.
