Thank you Chris Wilder, Alan Knill and Matt Prestridge

11th May 2016

Northampton Town Supporters' Trust would like to place on record its huge thanks to Chris Wilder, Alan Knill and Matt Prestridge for their time at Sixfields.

It was confirmed today that the trio would be moving to Bramall Lane to take up their respective positions with Sheffield United.

Of course, while the Trust is disappointed that they could not continue their journey with the Cobblers - it is hard to begrudge Chris a move to his boyhood club.

When Chris and Alan took over it appeared as if we were heading towards the non-league trapdoor. That they leave two-and-a-half years later as League Two champions tells you all you need to know about the work and effort they have put in.

Chris of course will go down in legend not just for being only the fourth Cobblers manager to lift a title, but for his help in bringing in Kelvin Thomas to the football club.

Supporters should also feel a great sense of gratitude that all three continued to work well above and beyond the call of duty when they were unpaid.

We have always found Chris and Alan incredibly courteous at the Trust's open forums and we wish them well for their next career step - apart from two games next season of course!

Thank you Chris, Alan and Matt for the wonderful memories you have shared with us this season - they will be remembered by all of us.

Good luck from Northampton Town Supporters' Trust.
