Support and donate to the York City cyclists in memory of Cobblers fan David Henderson

29th Jan 2016

A group of York City fans will be cycling from York to Sixfields to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Fans of the Minstermen are cycling from their home ground of Bootham Crescent on a three-day journey to help raise the funds in memory of Cobblers fan David Henderson.

Mr Henderson sadly passed away outside Sixfields following a match between Town and York in 2014.

In memory of Mr Henderson, the York fans first cycled to Sixfields before last season's match and raised a fantastic sum of £7,233.

And they are repeating the challenge this year, and are hoping to top last year's total by aiming for £10,000.

The group will be holding a bucket collection before the game at Sixfields on Saturday February 6, up until about 2:40pm outside the West Stand.

They will also be holding another collection before the rearranged away fixture at Bootham Crescent on Tuesday February 23.

Please visit their Twitter page (@ycfc_2_ntfc) or their website for more information, and please donate to their cause if you can by visiting their JustGiving page.

You can also text YCFC56 £(amount you wish to donate) to 70070 - a maximum of £20 can be done via text.

Everyone at Northampton Town Supporters' Trust wishes all the cyclists the best of luck for their challenge, and we look forward to giving them a warm welcome on their arrival at Sixfields.
