More than £4,000 raised in bucket collections at Coventry City game

8th Nov 2015

After an eight hour count from Trust volunteers we can confirm that £4,621.44 in donations was collected at the Coventry City game on Saturday.

More than 20 volunteers helped carry buckets and welcome donations from both sets of fans prior to the FA Cup game in the afternoon - a match which the Cobblers won 2-1 in front of 2,500 away fans.

It was fantastic to see two sets of fans uniting for a common cause, and we owe a huge debt of thanks to both Coventry fans and The Sky Blues Trust - many of whom dedicated their time to helping collect as well.

The Trust will be forever grateful for their friendship and solidarity at this time, and we really hope that Coventry continue their good form in League One and enjoy a successful season - we wish you all the best.

Please continue to back our fighting fund - it is incredible to see how much has been raised but we'd love to see the total keep growing. Thank you so much to all those supporters - many of whom support other clubs - who have backed it so far.

Yesterday proved what a special club we have, let's do everything we can to ensure that there will be fantastic memories like yesterday to enjoy in the future.
